Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Moral Kombat collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Effective Date: June 18, 2026 · Last updated: July 14, 2026

Moral Kombat is a service operated by SyQuest Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our").

1. Who we are

Moral Kombat ("Moral Kombat," "we," "us," or "our") is a live debate platform operated by SyQuest Labs LLC, located at 8 The Green, Suite B, Dover, DE 19901, United States. This Privacy Policy applies to moralkombat.gg and all related services (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms of Use.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: email address, display name, handle, password credentials, and any social handles you choose to add.
  • Profile information: bio, avatar, and other details you add to your public profile.
  • Content you create: debate audio and video, chat messages, votes, reactions, and topics you submit.
  • Payment information: when you buy Coins or send Gifts, payment is processed by our payment provider; we receive limited transaction details but do not store full card numbers.
  • Payout and financial-account information: if you earn as a debater and become eligible for payouts, we (or our payout processor) collect the details needed to pay you — such as your name, bank account or IBAN, PayPal address, and any tax information required by law. We use this information only to process your payouts and to meet our legal, tax, and anti-fraud obligations.
  • Communications: messages you send us for support or feedback.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and interactions with the Service.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

Information from third parties

  • If you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google or X), we receive basic profile information permitted by that provider and your settings.

3. How we use your information

  • To operate the Service: create and manage accounts, run debates, stream live video, tally the Verdict, and display profiles and rankings.
  • To process payments for Coins, Gifts, and related features.
  • To keep the Service safe: enforce our Community Guidelines, detect abuse and fraud, and moderate content.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and (where permitted) marketing you can opt out of.
  • To improve the Service and develop new features.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Live debates are public and recorded

Moral Kombat is built around public, spectator-facing debates. When you participate as a debater, your audio and video are streamed live to viewers and may be recorded, stored, and made publicly available, including after the debate ends. Chat messages, votes, and reactions you contribute as part of the audience may also be visible to others.

Please do not share information in a debate or in chat that you would not want to be public and potentially permanent.

Your viewing activity. We treat information about the specific debates and videos you watch as private to you. We do not disclose your video-viewing activity to third parties in a way that personally identifies you without your consent or another legal basis, and any advertising or analytics technologies that could associate viewing with your identity are set only after you opt in (see Section 6).

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service — for example, hosting and content delivery, database and authentication, live-video infrastructure, recording storage, payment processing, and email delivery. These currently include Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and authentication), LiveKit (live-video infrastructure), Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) (storage of recorded debates), our payment processor (for Coin purchases and, when enabled, debater payouts), and our email provider (for account and transactional email). We maintain a current list of these providers and update it as our services change; contact support@moralkombat.gg for the latest list.
  • Other users and the public, for the parts of your profile and content that are inherently public (see Section 4).
  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, and safety.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies (including local storage and, in the future, pixels or SDKs) to operate the Service and, where you allow it, to improve and promote it. You can review and change your choices at any time through the Cookie Settings link in our footer.

We group these technologies into four categories:

CategoryWhat it doesSet today?
Strictly necessaryKeeps you signed in, secures your account, prevents fraud, and powers core arena features. Always on — the Service cannot function without them.Yes
FunctionalRemembers preferences such as language and layout to improve your experience.Yes
AnalyticsHelps us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.Not yet — will be set only after you consent
AdvertisingMeasures and personalizes marketing and may involve sharing data with advertising partners. Not yet — will be set only after you consent

Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure Service. Functional, analytics, and advertising cookies are set only with your consent, which you give through our cookie banner and can withdraw at any time in Cookie Settings. In the EU and UK, no non-essential cookies are set until you opt in.

If you are a California resident, allowing advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our footer, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. In practice:

Data typeHow long we keep it
Account and profile dataFor as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymize it within 90 days, except where we must keep it longer (see below).
Recorded debates and public contentAs part of the public archive, potentially indefinitely, because debates are public performances. You can request removal of a specific recording, subject to the rights of other participants and to legal limits.
Chat messages, votes, and reactionsFor the life of the associated debate record, then subject to the same archive and deletion rules.
Payment and payout recordsFor as long as required by tax, accounting, and anti-fraud law — typically up to 7 years — even after account deletion.
Consent and cookie-preference recordsFor up to 3 years after they are given or withdrawn, as evidence of consent.
Support communicationsUp to 2 years after your last contact with us.
Security and server logsTypically up to 12 months, unless needed longer to investigate abuse or comply with law.

Where we are legally required to retain information (for example, to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or meet tax and financial-record obligations), we keep it for the required period and then delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion of your account as described below, subject to these legal and operational limits.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@moralkombat.gg. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link.

Depending on your region, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. To exercise any such rights, or for questions about how they apply to you, contact us at support@moralkombat.gg.

EEA and UK users (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to create and run your account, host debates, stream live video, process purchases, and provide the Service you asked for.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, analytics and advertising technologies, optional marketing, and, as described below, for making your debate participation public. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, understand and improve how the Service is used, and protect our rights — balanced against your interests.
  • Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, safety-reporting, and other legal requirements.

Special-category data. Debates on Moral Kombat are public performances in which participants may voluntarily express political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, and similar views. Where this reveals special-category data under Article 9 of the GDPR, our legal basis is your explicit consent, given when you choose to enter a debate and make it public, and/or the fact that you have manifestly made this information public by debating. Please do not share special-category information about yourself or others that you do not want to be public.

Data controller. The data controller is SyQuest Labs LLC (contact details in Section 13).

Complaints. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children and age requirements

The Service is intended only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use Moral Kombat, and the Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, contact us at support@moralkombat.gg and we will take appropriate steps to close the account and delete the information.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where required by law, and within the timeframes the law requires (for example, without undue delay and, where applicable under the GDPR, within 72 hours of becoming aware). Our notice will describe, to the extent we can, what happened, what information was involved, and the steps you can take.

11. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including the United States, where our operations and some of our service providers are based. These countries may not offer the same level of data protection as your own.

Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable), or transfers to countries the relevant authority has deemed adequate. You can contact us at support@moralkombat.gg for more information about these safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
